The Digital/Experimental (DX) Media Lab is the hub of experimental art and merging media at Kansas State University. Faculty, student researchers and collaborators at the DX Media Lab explore a wide range of media and practices including mapping, imaging, video art, sound art, information visualization, ecological and biological practice, social and community practice, electronics and physical computing, interactivity, cybernetics, machine learning, telecommunications, tactical media, networks and more. Through the Department of Art we award BFA and MFA degrees in Digital/Experimental Media that offer opportunities for students to engage new frontiers within 21st century digital culture fostering an awareness of techno-scientific research, philosophical and critical discourse, community and place within the digital age.
